1. Information only, not professional advice
Everything on the Site — including color and finish guides, paint code tables, repair and painting guides, technique articles, and the cost guide — is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is not professional advice and is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified body shop, painter, technician, dealer, or the manufacturer’s own documentation. AutoColorCode is not a paint shop, parts seller, or repair service, and we do not sell, mix, or apply paint.
2. Accuracy of paint codes, colors, and costs
- Paint codes. Codes shown on the Site are a compiled reference and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong for your specific vehicle, model year, or market. Always verify your exact paint code against your vehicle’s own label or your VIN, through a dealer or the manufacturer, before you order paint or authorize any work. We are not responsible for a mismatch, wrong purchase, or failed repair that results from relying on the Site.
- Colors and finishes. Color swatches, hex values, and photographs are on-screen approximations. Screens, lighting, and photography change how color appears, and real paint varies by formulation, age, and application. They are not a substitute for a physical sample.
- Costs and timelines. Any discussion of pricing, timelines, or cost factors is general in nature. Actual prices vary widely by shop, region, vehicle, and scope of work. Always obtain written quotes from providers.
- Content over time. Information may change and we may not update every page promptly. We do our best but do not promise that the Site is complete, current, or error-free.
3. Do-it-yourself work and safety
Automotive painting, sanding, and repair involve real hazards, including flammable and toxic materials, and some products (such as two-component urethane hardeners containing isocyanates) can seriously harm your health if used without proper ventilation and respiratory protection. Nothing on the Site is a complete safety guide. If you choose to carry out any work yourself, you do so entirely at your own risk. Read and follow every product’s label and safety data sheet, wear appropriate protective equipment, comply with local regulations, and consult a professional when in doubt.
4. Trademarks and third-party names
Vehicle manufacturer names, model names, paint color names, and product names mentioned on the Site are the property of their respective owners. They are used only to identify the vehicles and products the information relates to. AutoColorCode is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer, paint maker, dealer, or retailer.
5. Intellectual property
The text, design, layout, graphics, and other original material on the Site are owned by AutoColorCode or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the Site and print or share individual pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep all copyright notices and link back to the original page. You may not copy, republish, sell, or redistribute substantial parts of the Site, or use it to build a competing database or product, without our written permission.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems; interfere with or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure (including by excessive automated requests); introduce malware; or scrape or harvest content in a way that burdens the Site or breaches these Terms.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. They are provided for convenience. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party sites, their content, or their practices, and your use of them is at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AutoColorCode and its owners, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, or for the cost of materials, repairs, repainting, or replacement parts, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or your reliance on any information on it. Where the law does not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain liability, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply in the jurisdiction where the Site’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
